I wanted to benchmark a 10Kpaddle.
Total Time 1:10
Hit a submerged tree stump just about 200 meters from the end of my run:(:(. I can't believe I did not fall off. At first I thought the rudder came off...but it didn't....the rudder bent. Not the carbon fiber part but the metal rod that holds it in place. The rudder actually put a seam in the bottom of the boat. Have no idea how to fix it.
Well the fix was fairly simple, just use the brute force approach and bend it back:)

Hi Marco,
I have an aluminum sticker ( AAA ) attached to the hull just where the trailing top corner of the rudder opposes the hull.
When I hit a reef with rudder the aluminum foil will disperse the pressure of the rudder; this way I have been able to avoid punching holes into the hull recently.
